Disable Lock the Taskbar Setting on Windows 10 To prevent other people from locking or unlocking the taskbar location on your Windows 10 PC, you can have the setting named Lock the taskbar disabled, as shown in the Pic.
Hey everyone,I just reformatted my SSD for a fresh start and I finally finished updating and installing everything and I noticed this gold padlock icon in my taskbar that appears everytime I start my computer. When I hover over it, it doesn't say anything. If I click it, right or left, it just disappears. I have tried hiding it using the customize button on the taskbar but it still appears. Under the customize button though it labels it as: 'Windows Explorer.' I did do some registry tweaks from a guide that I guess could be it. I deleted the hibernation file, turned off drive indexing, shrank page file to 1024mb, disabled Prefetch and Superfetch, and lastly I just made sure TRIM was enabled.If anyone knows what it is so I can finally get rid of it that will be awesome as it annoys me!Thanks!
