I have just open the Pathway and I am getting my ♥♥♥ kicked. So I went back and I am now in the catacombs. I am running when I see a Knight and now I am trying to beat the Champion and I am barely scratching him.Any thoughts?Rogue is good but for boss fights daggers kinda suck so use an agility based staff (Seriously, agility is the prime stat for a rogue class and staffs get crazy powerful for the majority of the game)You're passed the commander now BUT should you chose to start over again (Due to frustration or whatever reason) Track down an item called 'The shard of heroes' which is right at the beggining of the game. (It only takes a few minutes. There are plenty of youtube videos about on how to get it)The general use of this item is to respec your stats (You can pick this item up any time so get it now if you want to respec) but there is a hidden use for it.

Those three statues on the left hand side of the commanders arena? You can put the stone in one of them.

Whatever one you put it in you will recieve the same type of weapon that it holds (One holds a dagger, the other a sword and the third a hammer)Simply damage the commander enough so he loses one bar of health, kite him over to the statues and then walk away, eventually he'll turn and destroy the statue you put the stone in (Netting you an achievement) and when the fight is over you'll be able to pick up the weapon (From the base of whatever statue you put the stone in) and a huge amount of early game EXP.Seriously, this is invaluable for those just starting out. You get a good few levels worth of EXP and a very decent early game weapon. Hopefully that makes things easier for you when starting a new game.

The catacombs is normally an area you go to after you go to the Rohgar realm.
